Is A Top Priority On Every Remodeling Job
See What Mast Construction Does To Safeguard
Your Property Throughout Your Local Project
When you hire a contractor to do kitchen or bath remodeling on the Ocean City shoreline, you’re literally inviting them into your home. While this is a necessary step, it’s also a potential cause for concern.
Why? Simply put, you don’t want strangers making a mess in your most vital interior spaces.
At Mast Contracting, we’re keenly aware that our remodeling activities can have a major impact on your daily living conditions. That’s why we do everything possible to minimize that impact and keep your home orderly, undamaged, and safe at all times.
From the moment we arrive onsite, you’ll know you’re in caring hands. And you can rest assured it will be that way until all our work is done and your project is fully completed.
Setting Up For Your Bath Or Kitchen Remodeling Project
Our protective practices begin with the setup for your Ocean City shoreline project. Before we take any other step, our owner, Matt, will do a walkthrough with your job’s foreman and carpenters.
Protecting Your Floors
Our walkthrough serves multiple purposes. First, it helps us determine the shortest, most effective route to your kitchen or bathroom.
This step not only helps us minimize the disruption to your household. It also shows us where we’ll need to place our flooring protection.
That protection, which will stay in place throughout your project, runs from the appropriate entryway all the way to the worksite. It’s made from a super-tough material designed to keep your carpets and hardwood floors safe and blemish-free.
Containing The Home Remodeling Work Area
A remodeling project can generate a lot of dust and larger particles. That’s especially true during the project’s demolition phase.
We don’t want any of this dust and debris to seep out into your home. To prevent this from happening, we’ll use poles and plastic sheeting to create a containment zone around our work area. Magnets and zippers on this sheeting help ensure a proper seal at all times.
Additional Steps For Certain Remodel Projects
Depending on the nature of your kitchen or bathroom project, we may also need to take additional steps. These steps are most often required for master suite remodels.
While working on this kind of project, we want to keep the entire suite as clean as possible. To achieve this goal, we may:
- Remove the sheets and blanket from the bed
- Cover the mattress and any end tables
- Remove all clothing from the area
We may also remove or cover any drapes or curtains near our work area. When everything’s ready to go, it’s time to move on to the next phase of protecting your home.
Keeping The Air Clean On Your Kitchen Or Bath Project
Demolition isn’t the only time we may kick up a lot of dust and debris on your bath or kitchen remodel. The same thing can happen if we need to cut drywall or any other remodeling materials.
We want to be absolutely certain that all dust and larger particles are dealt with in a safe, efficient manner. To that end, we bring air scrubbers along with us to every worksite.
These scrubbers, equipped with state-of-the-art HEPA filters, are designed to trap 99.7% of all airborne materials. On every project, we keep them running throughout the demolition process. We also turn them on as needed during other phases of remodeling.
Wrapping Up Your Ocean City Shoreline Project
When the work on your local project comes to an end, it’s time to turn your home back over to you. As part of our cleanup, we’ll take down our containment system and remove any coverings from your beds, tables, and wall hangings.
We can also put your clothing away for you.
As a very last step, we’ll remove our flooring protection and ensure it’s served its intended purpose. Only when everything is back in its right place do we consider this phase of the job complete.
