What Homeowners Remember After The Remodel Is Over

Mast Contracting wants you to remember more than the finished remodel. From upfront scheduling and daily foreman communication to honest problem-solving and continued follow-up, we build an experience designed to earn your trust.
The Home Remodeling Experience You’ll Remember For All The Right Reasons
Great Remodeling Is About More Than The Final Reveal
A finished kitchen or bathroom may be what you see every day, but it isn’t necessarily what you’ll remember most about your home remodeling project.
The details that stick with you may be how often you heard from your contractor, whether we kept our promises, and how we handled problems.
At Mast Contracting, we know you might have your guard up because of previous missed appointments, long delays, poor workmanship, or contractors who stopped communicating.
We want to give you a reason to lower that guard.
That starts with setting expectations early and following through on what we promise. If something doesn’t go according to plan, we believe it’s our responsibility to address it, not make excuses.
Clear Expectations Before We Meet
From your first call, we make communication part of the process. Matt, our founder and owner, handles the initial scheduling conversation, gathers your information, and makes sure you receive an appointment confirmation by email.
That email also includes a PDF featuring commonly installed kitchen or bathroom products. That way, you can start thinking about your options before we even arrive.
On the day of your appointment, Matt calls when he’s leaving the office. You know we’re coming, who’s coming, and when to expect us.
That level of communication continues after the consultation. We provide a budgetary quote within the timeline we establish, whether that means 48 to 72 hours or another agreed-upon timeframe.
You Shouldn’t Have To Wonder What’s Happening
Once your project begins, our foreman remains in regular communication with you. We don’t use subcontractors, so our team remains directly involved with the work and your experience.
That daily contact gives you someone familiar to communicate with throughout the project. It also helps us address questions or concerns rather than letting them go unanswered.
Our Monday morning meetings reinforce that standard. We review the week’s schedule, discuss wins and problems, and revisit communication standards twice monthly.
We even talk through details that can affect your experience, including calling before we arrive and leaving your home broom-swept.
Trust Has To Be Earned
We understand that some people approach remodeling with reservations because of previous experiences. We’ve met homeowners who waited weeks for quotes or paid deposits without seeing meaningful progress.
We don’t expect you to trust us just because we ask. If you have concerns about where your deposit goes, we can show you our climate-controlled warehouse and explain how we purchase materials for your project.
Trust isn’t something we expect. It’s something we have to earn.
That also means taking responsibility when something doesn’t go according to plan. If an issue arises during your project, we don’t make excuses or shift the blame. We own the problem and work to fix it.
A Great Foreman Can Become Someone You Remember
One of the strongest signs that a project made a lasting impression is when you remember the person who led it. We’ve had homeowners specifically request the same foreman for their next remodeling project.
We’ve also had homeowners refer friends while telling them to ask for a particular lead. For us, that means the relationship built during the project mattered beyond the finished space.
That’s why we honor those requests whenever scheduling allows. If you want the same foreman again, we’ll tell you when that person is available and schedule accordingly.
The Relationship Doesn’t End When The Work Does
When we finish your project, we don’t simply disappear. We’ll send a thank-you gift containing a jar of cookies and two Friends & Family gift cards.
Each card provides 10% off the first $40,000 of a project, up to $4,000 per card. You can use them yourself or share them with family, friends, or neighbors.
You’ll also continue hearing from us through quarterly company updates. Our newsletter includes recipes and construction tips, so you’ll keep us in mind if you ever need us again.
That ongoing connection has practical value, too. If a warranty concern or future remodeling need comes up, you already know who to call.
The Experience Should Be Worth Remembering
We want your lasting impression of Mast Contracting to be bigger than the finished kitchen, bathroom, or other remodeled space. We want you to know we did what we said, communicated consistently, and remained available when you needed us.
That’s what we hope you take away from working with us – a process that leaves you feeling confident, comfortable, and happy with your decision.
